After a historic heatwave, when +54,4°C /130°F was measured in Death Valley (a new modern all-time temperature world record: https://mkweather.com/the-highest-temperature-on-earth-in-history-death-valley-544c-130f/), extreme wildfires appeared in many parts of the western USA and in many cities, all-time records were broken, too.

The most interesting are all-time records from Las Vegas (117°F / +47,2°C), Barstow, California (118°F / +47,8°C), Bishop, California (111°F / +43,9°C), Winslow, Arizona (110°F / +43,3°C).
In Utah, the all-time state record was broken (117°F / +47,2°C) and in Death Valley, the minimum temperature reached historic +42,0°C.
There appeared hundreds of wildfires burning across the western half of the continent in the last days – especially west of the Rockies. Smoke from them is spreading as far east as the Midwest and Plains.
The very bad situation with wildfires is reported from Northwest and along the Pacific coast.
Professionals are already talking about a possibility, that Wildfire season 2021 should be in the USA and Canada even worse such as in the previous, devastating year.
