
Severe thunderstorms and multiple tornadoes struck North Dakota on the night of Friday, June 20, 2025, resulting in at least three fatalities in the rural town of Enderlin. The storms, part of a larger derecho system, left a trail of destruction across the region.

Authorities reported that storm chasers discovered two of the victims at a residence, while a third was found at a different location. Approximately ten homes were destroyed in the area, and widespread power outages affected thousands of residents.

Emergency response teams are actively engaged in recovery operations, conducting welfare checks and assisting displaced residents. Governor Kelly Armstrong declared a statewide disaster on Saturday to facilitate coordinated relief efforts.
