
Hot air from Europe together with extremely hot air masses above the Middle East and Central Asia brought an anomalous heatwave in Turkey, when on Tuesday, 20. July 2021, an all-time national record of maximum temperature was measured.
In Cizre, southeastern Turkey, +49,1°C was measured, which is the highest temperature in the country ever – higher than a previous record +48,6°C from the same city from 30. July 2000.
According to local people, the heatwave is very deadly and people are trying to cool down. Not everybody however lives near seas.
Extremely hot weather hit Syria (Kamishli, +47,3°C), Jordan (H-5 Safawi, +42,2°C), Iraq (Nasiriya, +50,0°C), or Georgia (Muhrani, +40,8°C), too.
In Baghdad, +49,8°C was measured.
Meanwhile in northern Turkey, in Rize region, flash floods killed 6 people and 2 were missing before a few days.
Europe is waiting for the next period with the next powerful heatwave /https://mkweather.com/heatwaves-in-europe-iberia-italy-balkan-turkey-45c-france-ukraine-hungary-40c-central-europe-30-38c-scandinavia-34c-uk-ireland-30-32c-baltic-countries//, which will come into Turkey in early August 2021, with a possibility of similar temperatures, near all-time temperature records.
Moreover, the Mediterranean, from Spain through Italy and Greece to Turkey has reported in the last period many dangerous wildfires and situation should be in August 2021 even more worsened.
