While in Italy, temperatures around +45/+46°C are again possible and it appears, that all-time record +48,5°C won´t be broken, all-time national temperature records for Spain (+47,3°C from 13. July 2017, Montoro, Cordoba) and Portugal (1. August 2003, Amareleja, Beja) should be overcome!
GFS is predicting for Andalusia and southeastern Portugal really hot times, with maximum temperatures up to +49°C on Sunday, 11. July 2021!
Temperatures above +45°C are forecasted for Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and maybe Wednesday, 10., 12.-14. July, too, therefore it should be long 4 – 5 days with exceptionally high temperatures over Iberia.
Temperatures in 850 hPa in the region should reach up to +34°C above northern Morocco and Algeria and +32/+33°C above Spain around Sunday, 11. July 2021.
heatwave partially hits southern France too, with maximum temperatures up to +38°C around Wednesday, 14. July 2021.
Heatwave will be probably associated with higher mortality linked with heat comfort, therefore if you live in the region, oversee to older people to follow drinking regime and avoid direct impact of the sun.
Meanwhile, above Balkan is at the end of workweek forecasted temperatures up to +42°C, in Hungary up to +40°C and in Slovakia and Austria up to +38°C, maybe +39°C or in Poland and Moravia up to +36°C.
