+50°C in Canada! One of the biggest heatwaves in modern history overwrote national records by 5°C (9°F) (Lytton, +49,6°C / 121.3°F)

Deadly and dangerous! We are talking about the anomalous heatwave in western Canada and the USA, which overwrote all-time temperature records in an unprecedented way.
The temperature on 29. June 2021 in Lytton, British Columbia, Canada reached to abnormal +49,6°C / 121.3°F, after a creating of “a dome of heat”, when all stocks of tropical air from the desert region in southwestern USA and Mexico have shifted anomalously northward – directly above the Vancouver region.

In Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington, all-time temperature records were overcome, too. In Portland, 112°F / +44,4°C was on Sunday, 27. June 2021 measured and in Seattle 108°F / +42,2°C on Monday, 28. June 2021.
Deadly heatwave is forecasted to persist above region for more than a week (until 7. July 2021), yet and already at the end of June 2021, the region is reporting a record number of dead from the heat.

This heatwave has reached further above historical means than any other summer heatwave previously recorded anywhere in North America, according to professionals. Heatwave (and its anomalies) is (are) therefore considered as one of the strongest on the Earth in modern history.
The previous all-time national Canadian record was overcome by 5°C / 9°F, what is a very bad signal associated with climate change.
Meanwhile, extreme heatwaves in Europe is already persisting since 10. June 2021 (until 30. June), with many new national and regional monthly temperature records, all after the coldest spring since 1987 / 2013.
The main factor which should be linked with current anomalous heatwaves across Northern Hemisphere should be just cold Spring 2021 – although persisting AO- and NAO- phases were bringing severe frosts and snowing in parts of mid-latitudes into late May 2021, above tropical climate zone (deserts) these negative phases of Arctic and North Atlantic Oscillation brought an accumulation of hot air masses, with many monthly temperature records during the spring months across Mexico, Northern Africa, Middle East, and Southern and Southeastern Asia /try Mkweather archive of articles in the sidebar or search on website/.
When a winter-like circulation pattern changed into a summer-like pattern, thanks to the decline of Arctic air supplies, all excessively heated air from desert regions have shifted above mid-latitude zones thanks to unprecedented amplitudes of Omega Blocking Patterns – a Rossby waves with high amplitudes, created between northern and southern climate zones.
2 months of hot Summer 2021 is still before us and it will be interesting to watch if this atmospheric circulation will continue during the peak of summer; if yes, it is possible, that many extreme surprises are waiting for us, yet and they should be too extremely deadly, mainly for older people, which don´t feel thirst and therefore don´t follow a drinking regime consistently.
