
After disastrous floods, the sunny, dry, and hot week has already come into large parts of Europe, and while Italy, Balkan, East-Central Europe, and Eastern Europe will be hit by the next deadly heatwave only after 25. July 2021, in western, northwestern, and southwestern Europe is hot already these days.
In Spain and Portugal, the heatwave will be the strongest until Friday, 23. July 2021, with a possible peak around +45°C, similarly in southern France on Thursday or Friday should be a measured temperature above +40°C. In the UK and Ireland will be the hottest current workweek too, mainly the next hours, with possible maximum temperatures up to +32°C in the UK and +30°C in Ireland.
Heatwave during the next week will gradually shift above Italy, Balkan. East-Central Europe, Ukraine and Scandinavia. In Germany and Sweden, tropical days will come already at the weekend, but Germany will be a country without an extreme heatwave during the next period.
Extreme heat however hits Italy, Balkan, SE Central Europe and Ukraine, with possible +45°C in Italy and Balkan, +40/+42°C in Hungary or +40°C in Ukraine. Poland will be colder, maximally up to +35°C. Similarly, Baltic countries will be hit less, with possible maximum temperatures only +30°C.
Heatwaves from Europe will gradually shift above Turkey, with possible temperatures above +45°C in early August 2021.
The next round of severe storms is possible in the western half of Europe mainly during the following week – with predicted maximum precipitation amounts in the Alpine region, Poland, Czechia, Eastern Carpathians, Baltic states, Denmark, Norway, Benelux, and eastern England. The next week and early August 2021 will be therefore long-termly in the western half of Europe again colder.
