Extreme heatwave in Canada and northern USA from the last days is gone and it was replaced by severe cooldown, with snowing just in areas with temperatures up to +37,8°C.
In Winnipeg, on 13. May 2025, +37,0°C was measured, but on Saturday, 17. May 2025, Tmax reached only +6,1°C and in the morning was snowing. Emerson dropped from +37,8°C to +5,5°C Tmax from 11. to 17. May 2025.
Little earlier, at the start of the ending week, 40 cm of snow – a historic May snowfall fell in Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada. A previous record 34 cm was observed in May 1957, with modern measurements since 1942.

Dangerous tornadoes will be appearing in Central and Eastern USA during all Summer 2025 with higher intensity as usual, and the strongest Tornado season in 15 years (at least) will continue.
