
Christchurch region thanks to föhn effect delights with almost summer temperatures.
Föhn winds will arise T850 hPa temperatures on Sunday in southeast of Northern Island above +15°C (it is the threeshold when it can be reached +30°C in the summer).
Temperatures in this air with tropical origin arise highly, in Timaru was measured +23,5°C, in Omaru +22,6°C and in Christchurch +22,2°C (up to 74°F).
The warm spell is coming after cold winter with many cold Antarctic blast in the New Zealand and unfortunately, the next cold blast will come after cold front already in Tuesday, in the Southern Island with possibly snowing.
