The same cold front, on the front side of part of polar vortex, shifting at the weekend over Europe from Atlantic, which hit British Islands and brought the heawiest snowstorm in London for last 3 years /https://mkweather.com/2021/01/24/the-second-peak-is-here-the-heaviest-snowing-in-london-for-3-years-2021//, hit Malorca with unprecedented force.

170 km/h storm was devastating everything what came to its way - damaged is after the weekend lot of buildings, outdoor places in streets, parks or ports.

As we should see on videos from arrival of cold front, wind gusts were really strong and appear immediately after arrival of cold air in the lowest layers of the air.

People in parks and streets fell into slightly panic and immediately found more safe places for their activities.

Many roofs and houses were damaged, too.

Cold fronts like this are more typical for the region in the summer, or transient seasons, in autumns and winter are possible mainly medicanes.

After shift of part of vortex eastward, Iberian Peninsula is waiting after warm front very warm winter period, with possible summer days, soon. There is a possibility of return of Siberian winter such hit Europe in mid-January 2021 (Historic coldwave in the Spain brought all-time national record /https://mkweather.com/2021/01/07/siberian-winter-in-the-spain-341c-new-national-temperature-record// and the worst snowstorm in Madrid since 1971 /https://mkweather.com/2021/01/09/madrid-50cm-of-snow-aemet-confirmed-the-worst-snowfall-since-1971//). This possible abnormal coldwave in Europe around 6.-10. Feburary 2021 will be a topic of the next Mkweather article. (!!!)
