Between 23.-28. June 2021 was in the Caucasian region anomalously hot and such as we showed in the previous article from the region /https://mkweather.com/yerevan-armenia-402c-while-country-expects-the-highest-june-temperatures-in-history-june-2021//, extremely hot weather will continue until early July 2021, with potentially even worse heatwave.
In all 3 capital cities in the region – Tbilisi (Georgia), Baku (Azerbaiyan) and Yerevan (Armenia) were in last days reached, similarly such as in large part of Europe, all-time June records of maximum temperature.
In Yerevan, Armenia, was anomalously hot, with the new record already on 23. June 2021, +40,2°C, but even hotter was on 24. June 2021 (Thursday), +41,1°C, very closely to all-time national record for the city (around +42°C).
In Baku, Azerbaijan was the hottest on Saturday, 26. June 2021, +40,5°C, what is the hottest June day in history.
Finally, Georgian Tbilisi measured +38,9°C on Monday, 28. June 2021, what is the new all-time national June record, too.
Extremely hot air already shifted to Central Asia, with exceptionally hot weather in European Kazakhstan (the next Mkweather article).
Simultaneously, Italy is preparing for the second peak of a heatwave, according to some runs of meteorological models, near sirocco very rarely up to +48°C around Wednesday and Thursday, 30. June – 1. July 2021.
This, the second heatwave will shift above Turkey, the Caucasus, and Central Asia soon, too and inhabitants of many European and Asian countries will be grilled again (and in July and August again and again…).
