Another deadly superheatwave hit(s) western USA and Canada, with expected anomalous temperatures in the hottest places on the Earth – in the Death Valley region, California.
According to the newest forecasts, temperatures should reach 130°F+ / up to +55°C at the weekend (mainly on 10. July 2021), which should mean an unprecedented heatwave for the region.
Extreme heatwave is coming only 1 year after the all-time modern temperature record in Death Valley /https://mkweather.com/deadly-heatwave-in-california-death-valley-54c-130f-palm-springs-populated-area-506c-123f-all-time-records//, all-time record in Los Angeles /https://mkweather.com/it-has-never-been-so-hot-so-late-or-ever-los-angeles-county-with-new-all-time-record-121f-494c-phoenix-50-days-over-110f-in-2020// and only 10 days after abnormal temperatures up to +49,6°C in western Canada in June 2021 /https://mkweather.com/50c-in-canada-one-of-the-biggest-heatwaves-in-modern-history-overwrote-national-records-by-5c-9f-lytton-496c/; https://mkweather.com/after-50c-came-wildfires-and-all-lytton-was-destroyed//.
+50°C/+52°C should be exceeded in populated parts of California, while in Salt Lake City, the all-time temperature record (104°F / +40°C) was already broken, while Las Vegas is for all-time record only waiting (117°F / +47°C).
Meantime, in all western USA and Canada, the situation with drought has been worsened, with a significant increase of wildfire risk in the region.
Heatwaves, drought, and the start of wildfire season in 2021 appear in many states in the western USA worse than in a record season 2020.
If deadly heatwaves will be returning until the end of Summer 2021, there is a probability of extensive wildfires in August, September, and October 2021, such a result of persisting weather conditions.
If you live in the region, stay safe and watch current warnings, advisories, news and forecasts.
