In Cape Town, last week, only +3,2°C was measured (2,2°C from all-time record) and the country was preparing for frosts and snowing.
On Sunday, 11. July 2021, extremely low temperature was already measured in Porth Elizabeth, only +1,8°C. The all-time cold record for the city is -0,5°C.
In Northern Cape and Free State, snow is reported already on Monday, 12. July 2021 and the first peak of long-lasting coldwaves is forecasted to peak already around Wednesday, 14. July 2021.
