Czechia with the next Siberian morning, -31,4°C

After freezing morning on Sunday, 14. February, when ony -32,1°C was measured in Czechia /, another extremely cold morning arrived on Monday, 15. February, with measured only -31,4°C in Perla u Kvildy, Šumava region /

On Monday, a peak of extreme Siberian winter was observed in Germany / and at the weekend, extremely low temperatures were measured in Hungary / or Switzerland /

In Denmark, the Netherlands and France, last week, were measured the lowest temperatures since 2012 /;; and in parts of the UK the lowest February temperatures ever /;

From Tuesday, 16. February, minimally until the end of the month, warmer weather is expected to come, but around the start of the March 2021, GFS predicts return of extremely cold weather.

Important factors for declining of temperatures are mainly extremely low relative humidity and high snow cover / and important circulation factors are mainly peaking La nina / and extreme strong negative phase of Arctic Oscillation /

Energy prices have increased during last days, extreme winter is associated with many traffic accidents, health problems /e.g. and many dead animals, too.
