
The next cold times for South Africa and the neighborhood!
After extreme July 2021 coldwaves, which hit large parts of south Africa including Namibia, Botswana, or Zimbabwe /https://mkweather.com/antarctic-winter-in-africa-namibia-100c-botswana-77c/; https://mkweather.com/botswana-97c-only-09c-from-the-all-time-national-record/; https://mkweather.com/johannesburg-sar-70c-all-time-july-record-zimbabwe-67c-2021// are coming the next greeting of winter, associated with regional heavy snowfall, after which, the next severe frosts are forecasted.
Until 20. August 2021, cold Antarctic air hit region in 2 waves – between 13.-15. August and between 17.-20. August 2021 and cold weather should return in the third decade or August, yet.
Already on Friday, 13. August 2021 is reported from parts of Sout Africa, mainly Drakensberg Mountains, heavy snowfall and the next 2 mornings, frosts below -10°C in populated basins are rarely possible.
Similar situation will repeat in the 4th August pentade.
In the last 7 days, temperatures rarely dropped up to -8°C, but on places with deep snow cover, frosts in the next mornings should surprise.
