Although December 2021 has started in Japan with very warm weather, with many temperature, rainfall, and wind gusts records, the end of November was extremely cold.
In Mt. Fuji, Japan, on 27 November 2021, only -23,1°C was measured, which is only 5°C above the monthly national record for Japan (for November) from the same station.
The famous Sukayu Onsen [890 MASL] received 98 cm of snow at the end of November 2021.
Meanwhile, in Eastern Siberia, extreme frosts up to -55,7°C (Delyankir, update: https://mkweather.com/delyankir-siberia-with-record-early-frosts-556c-schools-in-siberia-were-cancelled-unseasonably-early/) appeared, and extreme frosts were reported from North America /https://mkweather.com/eureka-431c-the-lowest-temperatures-in-canadian-arctic-in-early-winter-since-2004// and Europe /https://mkweather.com/brutally-cold-weather-in-scandinavia-legendary-frosts-in-sweden-375c-norway-369c-and-finland-340c-and-below-40c-is-forecasted-the-coldest-seasonal-temperatures-in-50//, too.
This coldwave above the Asian continent should be linked with a very rare snowfall in the Taklamakan desert, northward from Tibet.
Winter forecast for continents of Northern Hemisphere, including East Asia (with many materials) you should find here: https://mkweather.com/winter-2021-2022-forecast-for-northern-hemisphere/.
Overall, a very snowy winter is in Siberia, NE China, and northern Japan forecasted, thanks to the melting Arctic.
In some regions, 2-4-times more snow should appear, than long-term climate normals.
Winter 2021/2022 in Siberia has started anomalously early /link above/ and cold air from Siberia will be spreading across the continent in the next period, therefore some next surprises for East Asia are possible.
