In the last articles, we were informed about the extremely warm New Year in Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy /https://mkweather.com/portugal-and-spain-264c-both-portugal-with-a-new-monthly-record-spain-reports-winter-wildfires/; https://mkweather.com/france-264c-in-january-212c-in-the-alps-in-italy-1381-masl//, with temperatures in Spain, Portugal, and France up to +26,4°C and in Italian Alps almost in 1400 MASL with +21,2°C.
Now, we will shift above Balkan, where anomalous temperatures were reported mainly from Croatia, but very or extremely warm weather hit almost all peninsula.
In Knin, on 1. January 2022, +21,6°C was measured, which is the highest January temperature in Croatia ever.
+21,4°C was measured in Pazin, Sibenik and Sisak.
Warm air has shifted already to Greece – Edessa reported +21,2°C, but more interesting were similar temperatures from more northern areas.
+20,7°C was measured in Gevgelija, North Macedonia.
+20,1°C reported Podgorica, Montenergo´s capital.
+20,0°C was measured in Mostar, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
Crnomelj, Slovenia, reported +18,2°C (in Austria was +18,8°C – one of the next Mkweather articles)
Quiteti Stalin, Albania, reported on 2. January 2022 +20,4°C.
In Loznica, Serbia, on 2. January 2022, +18,0°C was measured.
Sandanski, Bulgaria, reported on 2. January +16,8°C and Rimnicu Vilcea, Romania, +16,5°C and in the next days, higher temperatures are in countries possible.
Before the year, at the end of February 2021, abnormal +26,4°C was in Croatia and +25,3°C in Slovenia, measured /https://mkweather.com/winter-heatwave-hit-croatia-264c-slovenia-253c-and-northeastern-italy-252c-2021-hot// – a national record for January is therefore almost 5°C lower.
Anomalously warm weather will stay above southern and eastern Balkan maximally until 6. January 2022 and then, frost round is for the region forecast (maybe -10/-15°C in valleys?).
