However, extremely cold weather persisted in Benelux all week and in Netherlands, many people went out to the frozen canals.
On Sunday, 14.2. the lowest temperature in Germany was measured in Marienberg-Kühnhaide in Sachsen, cca 700 MASL, only -27,9°C /https://www.wetter.de/cms/morgens-40-grad-warum-diese-deutsche-wetterstation-immer-wieder-extremste-kaelte-vorhersagt-4697874.html/, however, in the mountains (Funtensee), -40°C was in the morning expected, but data are still not known.
