June 2021.
While on the front side of cyclonic region above NW Europe with powerful cold front will accumulating extremely hot air, with possible maximum temperatures in air masses above +18°C in 850 hPa up to +35°C, only a few kilometers after frontal line (on the back side of the system) will be pushing extremely cold air eastward, with producing possibly the strongest or one of the strongest European storm event in 2021.
Difference between both masses will be around 20°C only in areas close a few dozens kilometers, with result of extreme short-term rainfall, hailstorms, flash floods, severe lighting, damaging lighting, flash floods or even tornadoes across the line from southern Sweden to northern Italy – mainly in Germany, Poland and Czechia, according to current materials.
Berlin or Prague should be hit with full power and regional 24-hours rainfall should reach more than 100 mm, including gusty winds or large hails.
This line should in forecast outputs slightly shift eastward of westward, yet, during the next 7 days, one is however highly probable – the first supertropical heatwave in Central Europe in 2021 should have a dramatic end.
There will be several weaker cold fronts in Europe until 25. June 2021 – mainly around 12. June and 21. June 2021, but frontal line around 18. June 2021 will be sovereign the strongest.
We will see, how the situation will develop in next days and which region will be finally hit by severe storms after deadly heatwave the most.
All next workweek will be in central parts of Europe very hot (despite of Germany and Switzerland on Friday), therefore follow a drinking regime and expose yourself to the sun carefully.
