Tornado appeared during a transition of larger storm system across continental Europe /https://mkweather.com/the-3rd-level-of-warnings-in-europe-after-40c-heatwaves-are-coming-severe-storms/; https://mkweather.com/severe-storms-hit-de-ch-au-it-cz-pl-sk-hu-si-hr-rs-after-the-strongest-windstorm-in-france-since-1969//, which brought 11 cm hails in Poland, 9 cm hails in Hungary and 9 cm hails in Croatia, too /https://mkweather.com/large-hail-in-poland-11cm-hungary-9cm-and-croatia-9cm//.
According to available materials from Lurano, a village with a population of 2,200 was hit by a tornado and several buildings were damaged, many trees were uprooted and some cars were damaged.
Fortunately, Friday´s storms haven´t produced larger than EF1+ tornados in the region and severe hailstorms hit mostly rural areas.
Storms, however, will continue, on a wider scale minimally until early August 2021, when the next extreme and long-term heatwaves are in Europe forecasted.
Storms should create directly within hot air masses or in weakening cold fronts moving above the continent.
The strongest storms are forecasted for the wider Alpine and Carpathian region /a map below photos of tornadoes/.
