Surprising extremes of weather in the last 10 days hit parts of the Indian subcontinent.

In Cherrapunji, the all-time temperature record was on 12. October 2021 measured. The maximum temperature reached +32,1°C and a heatwave like this never appeared before.
Extremely hot was in Bangladesh, where +38,2°C in Bogra was on 15. October 2021 measured. It is the highest maximum temperature in all country for the month of October in all-time history!
The capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka reported anomalous +37,2°C, a new October record.
A seasonal temperature record, +37,2°C was reported from Bhairawa, Nepal, too – never has been so hot in October in the Himalayas.
After the extreme heatwave, deadly floods appeared in the neighboring region, not so far from mentioned areas.
From Nepal, 111 killed caused by severe floods and landslides are from the last days reported.
From northern India, the next 81 dead was in the last days reported, together with 192 fatalities from the region.
The worst situation was in Uttarakhand, from where 72 fatalities is reported.
