Austria, southern Germany expect severe blizzard, temperatures dropped to -18,0°C

After the next extremely cold morning in Austria, the country is preparing for the next blizzard already until the end of the current workweek.
Anomalous snowfall 10-50 cm is forecasted not only in parts of Austria but too in Bavaria, Germany, neighboring parts of Switzerland, parts of Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, or Hungary.

Tuesday´s morning before the blizzard was in the country very cold, with temperatures up to -18,0°C.
This temperature was measured in St. Michael im Lungau, 1094 MASL, but only 0,3°C warmer was the city of Weitensfeld, 705 MASL, with only -17,7°C. In Zeltweg, 677 MASL, -17,4°C was measured.
