According to the newest reports, it was the strongest tornado in Czechia in all-time history! According to professional sources, it should be EF3 or even EF4 tornado.
An event is described on ESWD database such as EF3 tornado from supercell storm, with 150 injured.
The incident appeared on Thursday, 24. June around 17:40 UTC (+/- 15 min) at (48.84 N, 17.07 E) < 3 km.
Before the storm, mammatus clouds outbreak was observed across Austria, Slovakia and Czechia before an evening (note: mammatus clouds such as prediction tool for tornadoes).
The storm left ruin. The wind turned into a vortex, tearing the roofs of houses, breaking trees and tearing down houses /full video of an arival of tornado here: (3) Lovci bouřek, extrémní počasí a jiné jevy : Hodonín… A trošku zblízka.. | Facebook/. South Moravian firefighters did not manage to go to all events. They had over 300 of them in an hour.

“There have been several bus accidents, the roofs are down and people are flooded in the houses. We are cooperating with an ambulance from the Zlín region, our colleagues from the Vysočina, Olomouc, Pardubice and Slovakia are helping us, “said Hedvika Kropáčková, a spokeswoman for the South Moravian rescuers for idnes.cz.
“There are also hundreds of houses with absolutely no roofs, no roof trusses, uprooted trees, overturned trucks, cars, roads are flooded, the rescue system has no way to get to us. There’s broken masonry, gas is leaking, no electricity.” said mayor of Hodonin Marek Kušut (sme.sk).
According to the local mayor Pavel Trojan, hailstones as big as tennis balls fell in Valtice. There are broken windows in the town hall.
The South Moravian governor Jan Grolich stated shortly before ten o’clock that he had convened a crisis staff at half past ten. The evening storm left extensive damage in Hrušky in the Břeclav region. The lower half of the village is completely demolished: “Half of the village is razed to the ground, only the perimeter walls without roofs, without windows remain. Cars were hurled at family houses, people had nowhere to hide. Centuries-old lime trees and spruces have been uprooted, it’s crazy.”…”A strong wind carried the roof off the local church and damaged several cars, which it threw onto houses.”
Pears look like bombing after a storm. Firefighters go through the destroyed houses and check to see if anyone is trapped inside.
Wires are broken in Hodonín, some households are without electricity. Firefighters warn that people should not go out.
Storms in the south of Moravia also complicated traffic. Due to the fallen wires of the power line, the D2 highway (note: a main highway linking Czechia and Slovakia) in the vicinity of Břeclav is impassable in both directions.
There were thirty crews in the field, rescuers from the surrounding regions also help. Slovak colleagues also help and sent 11 ambulances, Austrian rescuers sent two helicopters and 20 ambulances to help. According to the capacities of South Moravian hospitals, Slovakia could also take over some patients.
Labor offices will start paying emergency aid to those affected by the natural disaster on Friday, 25. June 2021, officials announced.
