Surprisingly hot was Friday, 18. June 2021 in Sweden, where the hottest June times since 1947 were measured!
In Målilla, maximum temperature in Friday´s afternoon reached anomalous +34,6°C (94,3°F), what is only 3,4°C from all-time national temperature record for the country!
The next extremely hot day with temperatures up to +37°C is reported from Germany and France, in other countries in Central Europe, threshold +35°C should be on Friday broken.
The hottest days however are only coming and in central Europe, Italy and Scandinavia, mainly the weekend will be abnormally hot, up to +38/+39°C, while Balkan, Greece, Eastern Europe and Baltic region should surprise already in next week. During the second heatwave even, in Italy and Greece +48/+49°C is possible, while Balkan will be historically hot, from +40°C in Hungary to +45°C above southern parts of the peninsula.
Meanwhile, in parts of northern, western and continental Europe, the strongest storms of the year 2021 are forecasted until the next weekend, 26.-27. Heatwaves in Scandinavia should continue without break in parts of Sweden and Finland and temporarily it should appear in Norway too, minimally until the start of July 2021.
Tropical days above +30°C, maximally up to +35°C are forecasted mainly for parts of southern and eastern Sweden and Finland in next 16 days.
