Extreme, extreme, and again extreme!
The arrival of Winter 2021/2022 in the Northern Hemisphere is accompanied by many temperature and snowfall records – in the last articles we have written mainly about the situation in Europe /https://mkweather.com/italy-314c-in-the-alps-and-178c-in-populated-areas/; https://mkweather.com/northern-italy-with-15c-in-lower-situated-areas-rare-snow-in-sicily-and-sardinia-forecast/; https://mkweather.com/combe-de-loscence-france-196c-in-975-masl/; https://mkweather.com/linthal-switzerland-800-masl-with-05-meters-of-snow-koetzchach-austria-40-cm-next-3-days-will-come-the-next-snowfall/; https://mkweather.com/grenoble-france-384-masl-100c-the-coldest-temperatures-in-the-region-minimally-in-the-last-50-years/; https://mkweather.com/brutally-cold-weather-in-scandinavia-legendary-frosts-in-sweden-375c-norway-369c-and-finland-340c-and-below-40c-is-forecasted-the-coldest-seasonal-temperatures-in-50/; https://mkweather.com/nikkaluokta-sweden-with-legendary-373c-the-coldest-temperatures-in-november-in-the-last-50-years//, but now, in the next Mkweather articles, we will shift into Northern America and Asia.
The next memento, that in the Arctic isn´t everything fully alright /Arctic sea ice extent showed before a few days the 2nd highest values in the last 15 years: https://mkweather.com/arctic-sea-ice-extent-is-the-2nd-highest-in-15-years// was revealed in the last days in Canadian Arctic, where the strongest frosts so early in the season were measured.
In Eureka, one of the northernmost Canadian stations, only -43,1°C was on 28. November 2021 measured, which is the coldest November temperature since 2004 (-43,3°C).
It´s possible, that until the end of the month, winter in North America will be strengthening and instead of Europe, we will aim our focus into North American coldwaves, more and more.
Although Northeast, Great Lakes region, and Upper Midwest are after early-season cooldown with regional blizzard, many parts of the USA and even SW Canada report unseasonably warm winter weather, even in Alberta, Canada, with temperatures up to +16°C / 61°F.
According to Mkweather Winter 2021/2022 forecasts, winter in North America is forecasted to strengthen until February 2022, when a peak of the season is forecasted /https://mkweather.com/winter-2021-2022-forecast-for-northern-hemisphere//.
The second and third winter cooldown in Greenlandic stations is forecasted around Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 /https://mkweather.com/winter-in-europe-will-return-around-christmas-and-new-year-2022-especially-in-the-central-and-eastern-sector-long-term-forecast-until-10-january-2022//, with the next possibility of European winter outbreaks.
