While Greenland is experiencing extremely warm conditions, Iceland hit severe frosts, thanks to continental air masses of Greenlandic origin.
In Nuuk, the capital of Greenland warm +9,3°C was on Saturday, 4. December 2021 measured, which is extremely warm value for winter for the country.
The highest temperature in winter ever in Nuuk was measured in February and its value is +13,5°C /https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuuk/, therefore, Nuuk was only 4,2°C below its all-time winter temperature record!
On the other hand, all Greenlandic extreme cold masses have flooded Europe, with a result of 50-year frosts in Scandinavia /https://mkweather.com/brutally-cold-weather-in-scandinavia-legendary-frosts-in-sweden-375c-norway-369c-and-finland-340c-and-below-40c-is-forecasted-the-coldest-seasonal-temperatures-in-50// and for now, up to -22,0°C in continental Europe /https://mkweather.com/220c-in-pontets-france//, while the next severe frosts are forecast /https://mkweather.com/natioanl-tops-nights-below-20c-purple-15c-dark-blue-and-10c-light-blue-in-frost-basins-valleys-or-lowlands-below-1000-masl-in-europe-until-21-december-2021/; https://mkweather.com/white-christmas-2021-a-big-snow-forecast-for-europe-until-10-january-2022/; https://mkweather.com/winter-in-europe-will-return-around-christmas-and-new-year-2022-especially-in-the-central-and-eastern-sector-long-term-forecast-until-10-january-2022//.
Severe frosts were reported from Iceland, too. e.g. in Möðrudalur sjálfv, 450 MASL, only -18,8°C was on Saturday, 4. December 2021, measured.
It´s almost 30°C colder than Nuuk, in relatively similar elevations!
The next cold periods in Greenland are forecast between 17.-25. December 2021 and 31. December – 7. January 2022 /https://mkweather.com/winter-in-europe-will-return-around-christmas-and-new-year-2022-especially-in-the-central-and-eastern-sector-long-term-forecast-until-10-january-2022// with the next subsequent Greenlandic air masses outbreak in Europe in the following periods.
