
Not so long ago, an EF2 tornado surprised Belgium, with extensive damages and a lot of injured /https://mkweather.com/belgium-hit-ef2-tornado-with-a-twin-17-injured-92-buildings-damaged//. This event occurred, when the first significant European heatwave in 2021 was shifted eastward and above Benelux, France, and Germany, a powerful cold front was shifting, with extreme hailstorms, floods, winds, and tornadoes.
Now, Europe is experiencing the second peak of Summer 2021 heatwaves and the scenario is repeating –Belgium reports another tornado, although, its intensity is still not known.
The second tornado in Belgium hit Bernistap, the neighboring region with Luxembourg on Sunday, 27. June 2021 around 17:00 UTC.
There are reported damages from a local farm, where roofs and chimneys were destroyed.
Tornado fortunately hit not so densely populated area, therefore more extensive damages weren´t reported.
During the last storm round appeared, instead of EF2 Belgian tornado, the deadliest tornado in European history (Czechia, 24. On 24. June 2021, EF2 tornado in Librantowa, Koniuszowa, Małopolskie region, was reported, too, but all attention was focused on natural disaster in Czechia, that time.
EF1 tornadoes were reported, too from Verrières-de-Joux Région Franche-Comté, France, on 22. June 2021, Chetrosu Raionul Drochia, Moldova, on 20. June 2021, Sundern Nordrhein-Wes, Germany on 20. June 2021 in last 10 days.
Minimally 7 EF1 – EF3 tornadoes in 10 days, therefore, have appeared during European storm round, associated with historic heatwaves above the continent (storms usually replaced heatwaves).
After current, the 2nd peak of heatwaves, the 3rd peak is forecasted for 6.-14.
