In NW Africa, the hottest was on 31. December 2021 in Agadir, Morocco, tropical +31,7°C (!), which is an exceptionally high temperature.
In Taroudant, +30,7°C / +30,6°C was in the last days of the year 2021, measured (in order), Essaouira reported +30,2 / +30,5°C.
Tropical days are forecasted on 1. January 2022 already the 5th day in a row (!)
Very hot was in parts of Algeria, too.
In Oualenne, on 30. and 31. December, +29,7°C, was measured.
In Tunisia, +25,0°C hasn´t been broken, so far.
Sicily, Italy, reported +22,0°C so far in Aidone /http://www.sias.regione.sicilia.it/frameset_tmax.htm/m Naples surprised with +21,7°C, which is only 3,7°C below all-time December record for the city.
