East-Central Europe, Italy, Balkan, Baltic region and Eastern Europe are however still far from this frontal line and it appears, that some countries in Central Europe and Balkan have a peak of current (the first) heatwave just in front of them.
GFS outputs from Sunday, 20.6. 12Z see only 4 days before Thursday, 24. June 2021 potential for extremely hot day, with maximum temperatures up to +39°C in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
Mainly in northern mentioned countries it should be the strongest June heatwave in all-time meteorological history! (June records are moving around +37/+38°C).
The second wave at the end of June and the start of July hits mainly Italy and Balkan, with record-breaking potential, weekend outputs from 12Z are however from some reasons little colder such as important outputs from 18Z, which have tendency to be relatively correct and which sees a big potential for breaking all-time national temperature records or June all-time records in more than 20 countries /So extreme heatwave has never hit Europe! We will see soon, what will say outputs GFS from Sunday, 20. June 18Z for all hit region from Italy to Balkan and SE Central Europe, deadly heatwave in Italy and Balkan is however already ongoing and will last minimally until the start of July 2021.
Central Europe should be during the coldest variants hit by “only +36°C” heatwave, while evening runs see +26°C in 850 hPa above SE Central Europe with abnormal and dangerous temperatures up to +42°C.
