Snow has melted since 2003 approximately in 1/2 of all summer seasons.
Surprisingly high snow cover is reported after extremely cold Spring 2021 and the cold end of Summer 2021 from the Austrian Alps, where 92 cm was reported on 29. August 2021, what is anomalously high value.

Around mornings 2.-3. September, frosts are possible in Alpine and Carpathian valleys below 1000 MASL and outlook isn´t so hot such appeared before a few days, therefore it´s very possible, that snow cover in 2021 won´t be melted.
Lastly, it became in 2016, but in 2021, a much higher snow cover is reported.
The year 2021 in Austria will have a temperature anomaly from the long-term average such the year 1992.
