Denmark -20,7°C, the coldest times since 2012

The coldest times since 2012! Denmark should be joined to a row of countries, where were measured the lowest temperatures for last decade.

In Horsens on Friday, 12. February 2021 was measured -20,7°C /, in På Fyn -19,5°C, in Jylland -17,9°C or in the islands, På Sjælland only -13,5°C.

Extreme frosts in neighboring Germany were peaking on Wednesday and Saturday with temperatures up to -27,1°C / -27,0°C in lowlands and basins and -34,5°C in the mountains /

Between surprising moments of ongoing coldwave we should include all-time national record in Hungary /, historic winter conditions in the UK /; or 30-degree frosts in Czechia /

Extreme frosts are currently shifting in wave of extremely cold and dry Siberian air / from southern Scandinavia / to northern Italy /

Extreme frosts in Denmark will hold only until Monday, then arrival of warmer period is expected. Until late March 2021, however, extreme winter should returning /

Important factors for declining of temperatures are mainly extremely low relative humidity and high snow cover / and important circulation factors are mainly peaking La nina / and extreme strong negative phase of Arctic Oscillation /
