Sydney with the coldest April morning in 38 years!

Cold blasts hit in last period many continents including Australia.

In last days we have informed about extremely cold April in Europe / and severe coldwaves in the USA  / and Canada /

Cold blast hit around Friday, 23. April 2021 Australia, too.

Sydney reported the coldest April morning in 38 years on Friday, with minimum temperature only +9,2°C in the city and +2,7°C in suburbs (Camden).

Higher elevated basins in the region even reported frosts, e.g. Glen Innes Airport elevated above 1000 MASL in Australian Alps reported -3,4°C.

Almost 0°C was measured too in Canberra.

Currently, strong high pressure persists over Southeastern Australia, including Tasmania, with cold mornings but warmer days.

During last period, the first snowing hit parts of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa already /;

Last week we informed about extremely cold Antarctica, too /

Cold conditions around the world is bringing mainly La nina phase of ENSO / combined with series of volcanic eruptions and minimum of solar cycle.

The next potential, strong, but only regional coldwave is possible in southeastern coast of Australia and Tasmania around 3.-4. May 2021, where snowing should appear again in regions below 1000 MASL.
